100% crops of the Panasonic FX01 and FX07 at ISO 100
The difference in image size is due to 6 vs 7 megapixel. The FX01 shows arguably less noise than the FX07 at ISO100, but it is hard to be sure because the FX07 seems to have more camera sharpening applied which makes the noise more apparent.  The FX07 image shows more detail and subitles in shading, in a standard size print the FX07 looks better.

ISO comparisons between the Panasonic DMC-FX01 vs Panasonic DMC-FX07
100% crops of the Panasonic FX01 and FX07 at ISO 200
Here now the superior noise removal of the FX07 is apparent.  The FX07 retains much more detail than the FX01 image which blurs details and shading together.  I chose to use ISO200 as an example because the difference is very similar at ISO 400.  You can see the rest of the ISO comparison images here.
